Proper Seed Placement
An excellent cropping year depends on thousands of different uncontrolled environmental variables and only a handful of controlled variables.Variable rate seeding gives farmers better control over how that handful of variables can positively affect yield. A good crop cannot start without proper placement in the soil. As soil type, elevation, and CEC change in a field, the variability in a field's productivity changes remarkably. Variable rate seeding prescriptions using in-field data allow a farmer to capitalize on the ever-varying field conditions. The implementation of the VR seeding lessens the chance of low-end yield in areas of possible concern, giving rise to an increased overall average.
