Rob Marchbank is Pinnacle’s new President and CEO starting in fall of 2017. Prior to joining Pinnacle, Rob most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer of ProBuild Holdings, Inc., which, prior to its acquisition by Builders FirstSource, Inc., was one of the nation’s largest professional building materials suppliers. At the time of its acquisition by Builders FirstSource, ProBuild had revenues of approximately $4.5 billion, over 400 locations, and more than 10,000 associates in 40 states. Prior to ProBuild, Rob served as the Chief Executive Officer of Wolseley plc’s European operations, where he ran multiple business operations across 19 countries. Throughout his career at Wolseley plc, which he joined in 1982, Rob served in several senior management-level roles, including managing director for U.K. and Ireland, and also held positions in IT management and strategic planning. Rob received his bachelor’s degree in government from The College of William and Mary.
Beverly S. Gates has been our Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since 2015 and was previously our Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary from 2013 to 2015. She previously was Assistant General Counsel of Verso Paper Corp. from 2011 to 2013. Ms. Gates was an attorney and shareholder of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell and Berkowitz, P.C. from 2000 to 2011. She was a consultant with Ernst & Young LLP from 1999 to 2000.
Mark Pedro joined Pinnacle Agriculture in 2018 and brings more than 20 years of finance experience with an extensive background in financial planning and operations, management and strategy, and a deep knowledge of the distribution industry to the organization. Prior to joining Pinnacle, Mark served as CFO for Sonepar, North America, a multi-billion-dollar B2B distributor of electrical and industrial products. Prior to Sonepar, Mark held financial leadership positions across various industries, most notably at Nestle USA, Kraft Foods, Inc. and Univar, one of the world’s largest distributors of industrial and specialty chemicals.
Michael J. Steffeck has been Executive Vice President, Procurement and Product Strategy since 2015 and was previously President of our Innvictis Crop Care, LLC subsidiary from 2012 to 2015. He was previously founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fuzion Technologies, LLC, from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Steffeck was President of Loveland Products Inc., an affiliate of Agrium Inc. in 2009 and held various positions within United Agri Products, Inc. from 2005 to 2008, when it was purchased by Agrium, Inc. He held various positions in the FMC Agricultural Products Group Division of FMC Corporation from 1993 to 2005, most recently serving as Area Director of the Latin America North business unit where he was responsible for managing the Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean business unit.
Dean M. Williams has been our Executive Vice President, Distribution since 2015 and was previously our Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer from 2012 to 2015. He previously was employed by Terral Seed, Inc. from 2010 to 2012 serving as Chief Executive Officer in 2010, and then as General Manager after the acquisition of the company by Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. Mr. Williams was Regional Manager with Crop Production Services, Inc. from 2008 to 2009. He held various positions with United Agri Products, Inc. from 1988 to 2008, most recently serving as Executive Vice President of U.S. Retail.
